Ava is sporting french braids for her Grow Bear pictures this month!
This month Ava decided to completely boycott baby food. If she can't feed it to herself, she doesn't want it! She is amazing with finger food and has been loving the wide variety of things I have given to her. Any sort of fruit is probably her most favorite right now. She also loves the sweet potato quinoa curry I make for her. She is an excellent eater and will scarf down anything I put in front of her.

Ava absolutely loves walking around with her pusher our with our fingers. When we're sitting down with her, she will often grab a finger on each hand and stand up, which is our signal to get up and go on a stroll with her. She will stand on her own for about 5 seconds, but then she purposefully falls into me because it's a fun game! No attempts at taking a step just yet.
We started teaching Ava to go down the stairs this month as she often crawls over there. She doesn't turn to go down backwards on her own, but once we do turn her, she's gotten pretty good at pushing herself down, although we still stay behind her just in case. She is a pro at climbing up the stairs.
Ava's word of choice is still "dada" and she definitely knows she's talking about her daddy when she says it. This month, she also started saying "dut" (duck). She has a little blue rubber duck that she crawls everywhere with. She adores it and will go find it any time we ask her where her duck is.
Ava loves giving kisses! They're still the big, slobbery, open-mouthed kind and I love them! When she sees someone for the first time that day, she will usually lean in and give them a kiss. She is also sure to kiss herself multiple times any time she comes across her reflection.
