Family

It is with a heavy heart that I write this post. On August 19th, we lost Uncle Ian completely unexpectedly. Although we are all consumed with grief, it has been pretty incredible to watch the family band together to support Angela, Chancellor, and Olivia.

The oldest and the youngest of the Byrd grandchildren. It was pretty special to be able to spend some quality time with Chancellor while he was home.

Jessi gifted our family with our own private yoga session. It felt so good to let go of some of our stress!

The kids were overjoyed to have Uncle Nick stay with us for an entire week!

Celebrating Nana and Papa's anniversary. We love these two and their incredible example of a strong marriage so much! It was nice to have so much family in town for this celebration.

Celebrating Papa's 78th birthday. Both kids needed a turn to help him blow out his candle. :)

Ian's death brought the family together almost nightly for a week, and then about once a week for the next few weeks. What a gift. Although we will always miss Ian and his big personality, his memory lives on in all of the stories we continue to tell about him.
