Aiden's Tenth Birthday

Ten years old! Hard to believe Aiden has hit double digits. His birthday was full of the things he loves: a slumber party with his best buds, skiing and a scavenger hunt that included dancing on the magic carpet, hugging trees, and riding every chair, lots of Lego creations, and brunch with his vaccinated grandparents - none of which were possible last year at this time! Aiden is the most empathetic kid I know and he always keeps us laughing with his quick wit. We are so proud to be his parents. 

 

Ski Pic Dump

 We have had some beautiful blue bird days of skiing this year! We loved skiing with Auntie Lala, Bridget, the Thompsons, and the Hibbards this year!

Christmas Break Ski Trip

 Since Nick and Molly are living in Park City this winter, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit them. We decided to drive to avoid the risk of Covid on airplanes. On our way, we spent a night at Bogus Basin Mountain in Idaho. We stayed in a condo on top of the mountain and had a blast. The snow was a bit slushy, but the views were incredible, I can no longer keep up with Aiden, and Ava did the best skiing of her life!

From there, we headed to Park City. Nick and Molly surprised us with matching shirts when we showed up. Although there wasn't much snow, we had so much fun skiing with them and exploring the city. We even spent Christmas day skiing and Elfy managed to find us too!

Santa pictures look a little different this year!

First Ski of the Season

We are so happy to be able to ski, even though there are still so many Covid restrictions. We decided not to use the lodge this year so we will be tailgating for lunch. A gorgeous blue bird day made that pretty easy for us today. It was so warm and beautiful!

 

Thanksgiving

 We kept Thanksgiving small this year - just us and Grammie and Grandpa. It was an excellent evening complete with our first deep fried turkey and of course National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation afterward. 

2020 Election

 The 2020 presidential election has been like no other. Donald Trump and his supporters divided Americans on so many issues, most especially Covid. To say we are relieved to have him out of office is an understatement. All politics aside, tonight was a beautiful moment in our nation's history watching the first ever female and woman of color become the vice president. I am so grateful that my kids could witness this.

 Today we hiked around Auntie Angela's property and stopped at her old barn for some pictures. Ava nailed her head pretty hard before our family picture, but she still managed a smile for the camera. 

Halloween

 Halloween 2020 was our favorite ever! On friday we did a scavenger hunt at Commellini's with Doc and Marty McFly. Then on Halloween, dad started out the morning with ghost pancakes. Then,
the Warrens joined us for Minute to Win It games, a Corona Virus cell piñata, a spooky, lights-off scavenger hunt complete with jump scares, and a viewing of Beetlejuice. The kids asked if we could do it again next year!
