Ava's Seventh Birthday

A little photo shoot in the adorable out fit Grammie and Grandpa got her. 

On her actual birthday, Grammie and Grandpa brought Charlie over and the kids had donuts for breakfast and got to play all afternoon.

Ava requested sushi for dinner and chocolate kahlua cake for dessert, which we shared with Uncle Nick, Auntie Molly, Auntie Lala, and Auntie Angela. 

Later in the week, Ava had her party. She had Kennedy spend the night, which was full of lots of dress up, giggles, Hamilton, shrimp and steak for dinner and froyo for dessert. 

The next morning, we headed to JT Ranch to fulfill Ava's dream of horseback riding. The people at the ranch were amazing with the kids. They taught them to walk their horses and how to stop and start. They even got to go on a trail ride without people walking the horses for them. Ava was in heaven!

Ava is such a fun person to be around. She is always up for an adventure, no matter what it is. She knows what she wants and she's not afraid to ask for it. She likes to be the one in charge. She is kind and has so much love for her family. We just adore this spunky little spit fire!

Visit from the Horschmans

 As always, we had an absolute blast with the Horschmans. We took them on a bike ride to our favorite beach and we went on a paddle boarding adventure down the little Spokane. We ate the most delicious food and shared so many laughs. So grateful for friends like these!

Fifteen Years

 Tonight we snuck away for our first date since quarantine. We went to a new outdoor restaurant at Commellini Estate called Tavola Calda. It's hard to believe we have been married for 15 years and together for 22! Wow!

Annual Byrd Family Priest Lake Trip

This year felt a little different with COVID restrictions in place and numbers rising every day. It was a hard decision for our family since we are not supposed to be in groups of more than ten. In the end, we decided to go and it was a much needed break. It almost felt like normal times. We are so grateful to have had this time with family. 

This year, we headed to the Lyons Head Rock Slides. The hike there was beautiful and the rock slides did not disappoint!

 The kids got to participate in the family pickle ball tournament this time around. They were so excited. Aiden put in a lot of practice time before the game. Both kids played so well!
